Today, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau launched the design phase of Canada Service Corps, Canada’s new national youth service initiative. This federal program is being developed by youth, for youth, to get more young Canadians involved in service to communities.
Canada Service Corps will be provided with $105 million up to March 2021, and will fund eligible projects that present opportunities for young Canadians to get in involved in service to communities.
During this design phase, Canada Service Corps will work with youth directly to build a Corps that reflects the goals, priorities, and values of young people today. Young Canadians between the ages of 15 to 30 years are encouraged to share their views on service and what it means to them, online here: canada.ca/canadaservicecorps
